Which user type should I register as?
The LMIS user types and what each one can do.
Every LMIS account is linked to one or more user types. The user type decides which menus you see after logging in and which actions you may perform.
| User type | Who should select it | Typical activities |
|---|---|---|
| Employer | A levy-paying or non-levy-paying company registering itself | Company profile, WSP/ATR, discretionary grant and workplace-based learning applications, levies and payments |
| Skills Development Facilitator | The SDF appointed by an employer to submit its WSP/ATR | SDF registration, company registration, WSP/ATR submissions, extensions |
| Training Provider | A Skills Development Provider (SDP) seeking or holding accreditation | Accreditation applications, extension of scope, learner enrolments, achievements, site visits, certification |
| Assessor | A constituent assessor | Registration, extension of scope, re-registration |
| Moderator | A constituent moderator (must first be registered as an assessor) | Registration, extension of scope, re-registration |
| Facilitator | A registered facilitator | Facilitator registration and profile |
| Learner | An individual learner | View own enrolments, achievements and certification status |
| Trade Test Centre | An accredited or applying trade test centre | Trade test centre applications, artisan trade tests, QA |
| CAM Admin | FP&M SETA Constituent Accreditation Management staff | Evaluation of assessor and moderator applications |
| SETA Staff | FP&M SETA employees (internal) | Approvals, monitoring, reporting and configuration according to role |
Note
Assessors who also want to be registered as moderators should select Assessor and Moderator (dual role) when applying — see Apply for assessor or moderator registration. SETA Staff, CAM Admin and Administrator accounts are created by the LMIS Administrator, not through self-registration.
