MOA e-signing

Sending a DG MOA and annexure for online signature, following it, and signing for the SETA.

A contracted DG project's MOA and annexure can be signed online instead of on paper. The organisation's authorised signatory signs first, with two witnesses; then an official signs for the SETA.

Sending an MOA for signature

  1. Open the DG application. On a contracted application the chip at the top reads Sign MOA online.
  2. Click it and confirm. The MOA and annexure are frozen as they read at that moment and the organisation's authorised signatory is e-mailed a link.
  3. If the e-mail could not be sent, LMIS shows the link so you can pass it on another way.

The chip then shows progress — "MOA signing: 1 of 2 signed" — and finally MOA signed online.

Following the signatures

Projects > MOA Signing lists every MOA sent: Being signed, Signed, Withdrawn or All, with the organisation, DG reference, pages, progress and status ("Your turn", "Waiting for…"). Open or Sign shows the document and its trail. From there you can:

  • Resend the link, optionally to another address (the old link stops working);
  • Withdraw the signing, with a reason;
  • read the Trail of every step.

Signing for the SETA

When the organisation has signed, the MOA shows Your turn for the SETA's signing official (this needs the sign MOAs for the SETA permission). Open it and follow the same steps as the signatory: initials, initial every page, then sign with two witnesses.

When both parties have signed, the signed PDF — with a certificate page — is e-mailed to both signatories and the MOA and annexure are recorded as signed on the application.

Note

Employers sign from the e-mailed link — see Sign the MOA online. Employer users also see their own companies' MOAs under MOA Signing.
