Link learners to an approved DG project
Add learners and their documents once the SETA has approved the application.
Learners can only be added once the SETA has verified the employer's supporting documents and approved the DG application.
- Open Projects > DG Applications, find the approved application and click View.
- Open the Linked Learners tab. You can Search Learner (by ID number) to link a learner who already exists on LMIS, or click Add New Learner.
- Add New Learner opens the Learner Details page. Capture the personal details (ID type and number, names, date of birth, gender, race, disability, home language, citizenship, socio-economic status) and scroll down to capture the contact details. Click Save; a green success message confirms the learner profile.
- On the learner's Supporting Documents section choose the Document Type, select the file and click Add Document. Repeat for every required document (certified ID, qualification certificates, learner agreement and so on). The grid shows each document, whether it is required, and whether it has been verified.
- Repeat for every learner on the project.
The SETA quality-assures the learners and their documents; learners that fail the Home Affairs ID check are flagged Not verified and must be corrected before they can be certificated.
