Assessors and moderators — overview

Registration, extension of scope and re-registration with the FP&M SETA.

Constituent assessors and moderators register with the FP&M SETA through LMIS. The process is:

  1. Register a user account with the user type Assessor, Moderator, or Assessor and Moderator for both roles, activate it and log in.
  2. Complete your personal details.
  3. Apply for registration — learning units, documents, professional experience, educational details, verify and submit.
  4. Once registered, apply for extension of scope to add learning units, or Apply for Reregistration if your registration has lapsed or been deregistered.
Note

A moderator must first be registered as an assessor with the FP&M SETA. Applicants for both roles should select Assessor and Moderator as the user type and tick the dual role box on the application.

Your Assessor Profile (Assessor and Moderator > Assessor > Assessor Profile) shows the status of each learning unit under Qualification Accreditations and Unit Standard Accreditations, and your Dashboard shows the progress of open applications.
